The problem
The Mac’s built-in dictation is slow with long texts, does not know your names or terms, and types every “um”. Cloud dictation tools are fast, but send everything you say to someone else.
I wanted dictation that feels instant, understands Spanish and English, writes differently for a chat, an email or a technical tool, and keeps everything except the audio on your Mac.
What I built
- A small Mac app that lives in the menu bar and starts listening when you hold a key you choose.
- Speech recognition that writes while you are still talking, on a small server you or your team control.
- A clean-up step on the Mac itself that removes filler words, applies your corrections (“Tuesday, no, Wednesday”) and spells your names and terms right.
- Different writing styles depending on where you are typing: a chat message, a tidy email with bullet points, or exact text for technical tools.

It works while you talk
Listening, writing and cleaning all happen while you hold the key. When you let go only the last few seconds are left, so a long dictation arrives almost as fast as a short one.

Only your voice leaves the Mac
The audio travels encrypted to the server and is not kept. Your settings, your vocabulary and your history never leave your computer.

It types anywhere
The text is pasted where your cursor is and your clipboard is put back as it was, in a fraction of a second, so it works in any app.
