FAQ
Questions about this service
What do you need from me?
View-only access to the code and, if possible, to the hosting and the database (a copy is fine). If you need a confidentiality agreement (NDA), I sign it before seeing anything.
Which technologies do you audit?
Most web apps: those written in TypeScript or JavaScript (React, Next.js, Angular, Node, NestJS) or Python (FastAPI, Django), running on AWS, Docker or Cloudflare. If you do not know what yours is built with, that is fine: I will find out and tell you on the call.
Do you fix the problems too?
If you want. The report stands on its own, so you can hand it to your team or another developer. If I do the fixes, they are quoted from the report at a fixed price or from €45/hour.
Should we rewrite it from scratch?
A rewrite is rarely the cheapest option. Usually it is targeted work on the parts that fail. The report tells you which case you are in, and why.
Is AI-generated code a problem?
Not by itself; I use AI tools every day too. The problem is code nobody checked: missing safety checks, the same logic copied in several places, passwords left in the code. That is exactly what the audit looks for.
